Where and When we Meet

The worship in Blandford and Langton caters for a range of diverse tastes and styles. From the beauty and solemnity of BCP Communion to the informal joy of the modern services, our aim is to provide an opportunity for everyone to find a place where they are able to meet with God.

9.00am - A "Formal" Service
A service from either the Book of Common Prayer or Common Worship which is usually a Communion Service and robes will normally be worn. There will usually be traditional hymns sung.

10.00am - Coffee for Everyone!!
After the 9am service, everyone is invited for coffee (and maybe even a croissant!) - those who have just attended the 9am service as well as those arriving for the 10.30am service.

10.20am - Children Leave for their Groups
Leaders of J Team and the Youth Team will be on hand at coffee to take the children on to their groups.

10.30am - An "Informal" Service
Led by a worship group, this will be a service using mainly modern songs and hymns, beginning with a time of sung worship, a sermon, prayer - and everything on the big screen. Once a month, there will be an All Age Service and a Holy Communion service.

11.00am - Worship at Langton
Held at the village church of Langton Long, just outside of Blandford, this service is from either the Book of Common Prayer or Common Worship (aprt form an informal All Age Service on the fourth Sunday in the month). Robes are worn at most services.
