"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Philippians 4:6

There are many opportunities in our parish to pray and to be prayed for @ BFPC and Langton ....

Prayer Chain

The prayer chain consists of a number of people who are committed to pray for others in the parish and further afield, as part of their daily prayer life. They are linked, like a chain, to one another so that prayer requests can be passed on to all members of the chain.

Requests are received from anyone who feels in need of prayer, or who may have a relative or friends who they are concerned about.

Unless requested otherwise, all requests placed on the prayer chain are confidential. Members of the prayer chain may only pass information on to other members directly.

If you would like to place a request on our prayer chain then please email your request to .

Prayer Ministry

Prayer ministry is offered to everyone and takes place in the Lady Chapel following most services. All our prayer ministry team members are trained to pray with you regarding any matter you may be concerned about or need guidance about.

You will usually be prayed for by two members of our team, and if you feel in need of further support we would be happy to arrange for a member of our pastoral care team to contact you.

Prayer Emails

It can be difficult to find time to pray when many of us lead busy and hectic lives. To encourage us all to take time out to pray, we send out three emails per week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays), which develop the theme from Sunday's sermon and aim to provide recipients with inspiration for prayer.

If you are not currently on our email list and you would like to receive our regular prayer email then please contact us at .

Home Groups

BFPC has a network of Home Groups that meet across the parish which meet most weeks, and study topics related to the Sunday sermon series, meeting socially and occasionally meeting with the other groups.

A key part of the Home Group is prayer. At every meeting there is an opportunity for members to receive prayer for any matter. Members are also encouraged to pray for each other during the week. As part of the programme there are meetings which are devoted to prayer for our world, community and personal needs. If you would like more information about our Home Groups please contact .

At Langton Long

A prayer group meets every Friday morning at Langton Long at 10.30am in the church - you will be very welcome to join them!
