However people understand God, or Church, or "religion", there is still a feeling in society that certain events in life need to be marked with a special ceremony. Many people feel that the right place for these ceremonies is in a Church, because a Church building helps to understand that we perhaps we are part of something "bigger". The idea that each of us has a "soul" or a "spirit" leads us to want hold these ceremonies in a place that has a meaning and helps us to see the life events in the context of a "bigger picture". At BFPC and Langton, we want to encourage the community around us to use the building for these life events - and to encourage those involved to explore what these events say to us about life and its meaning.
