The contractor, Snooks, of Sturminster Newton, took possession of the site on March 1st and began by taking up the flag stones outside the hall, in order to protect them, to be replaced at the end of the work. The removal of the red bricks (also to be used later) began shortly afterwards and the roof and walls were taken down during the week ending 21st March.
