In 1735, as the Bastard brothers began rebuilding the town from the ashes, a superb example of a church arose in the centre of the town. That church may look similar on the outside, but through the senturies since, the inside of the church has evolved and changed to meet the needs of a constantly changing town. Today, the needs of Blandford are radically different to those of 1735 and today we are looking at ideas to enable this church to serve the town and be accessible to all.
The story of this church building spans nearly 300 years and generations of worshippers.
The building as it is today is testament to their dedication - but it certainly does not mean
that the church is a museum.
As a growing, lively body of people, the today's worshippers seek to gain a spiritual heritage,
as well as bricks, to pass on to future generation.
