Fiesta Fun
13 March 2004
60 members the church (of all ages) descended on the URC Hall in Blandford for a Fiesta themed evening of food and fun.
Each table had a theme - from Film to Bonfire Night, Mafia to Mexico (two of them !) and the food on each table
reflected the themes. There was even a "healthy eating" themed table - which was full of .... healthy food.

The winner of the table theme was one of the Mexico tables (due to the highly impressive cactus), although a
mention was given to Dan's bonfire (it's amazing what you can do with a flashing bicycle light and some tissue paper).

The children had a great time with a Disney theme, although no-one was sure if Su was being a Dalmation or needed prayer ministry.
As a result of the quiz, we now all know where Nasser Hussein was born (though I can't remember now) and that Oddjob appeared in "The Man with the Golden Gun" - useful stiff, eh ?

Marion stole the show, with a story that mesmerised young and old alike and, yes, the Rector took the "Director's Chair" on the film table - which collapsed half way through the evening. Prophetic ?
