"Off The Leash"

(2006/7/8 World Tour of Dorset)

The 2006 / 2007Photos ...

Dogs Without Collars launched their attempt for domination of the Clergy Band Rock Covers (Dorset) market in June of 2006 with a gig in Blandford URC Hall playing (allegedly) to a "friendly" audience. Generous comments abounded once the laughter died down. Since then, the "Off The Leash" World Tour of Dorset has taken them to such far flung places as Ferndown. Documentary evidence is provided below - but it is believed that members of the audience with their eyes shut are probably praying (maybe for the Rapture) rather than asleep ...

Dogs Without Collars

2nd June 2006 - URC Hall, Blandford Forum

A "Friends and Family Gig"

DWC burst upon the world with Geoff only having half a voice that night - but everyone was being friendly, cos we knew most of them. No agents turned up, so that was ok, then.

4th July 2006 - Salisbury Diocesan Conference, Swanwick, Derbyshire

A Bar Gig

The fact that a World Cup match was happening in the bar next door meant DWC played to an audience of ... a few. But we made sure they heard us. A Bishop was present, which was worrying, but he smiled dutifully and later called us "World renowned", whatever that might mean ...

21st October 2006 - Back in The URRC (Feeble attempt at Beatles joke), Blandford

40th Birthday Party

Someone called Anita asked us to play for her 40th Birthday part which meant that most people present had a glazed expression by the time we finished ...

4th October 2006 - St Mary's Ferndown

Church Party

Church Hall ... they danced .... Yeah!...

4th June 2007 - The Tavern @ Crossways

Fish'n'Chip Mission Supper

As part of a week of events at Crossways, DWC played a gig on the smallest stage in the world ... which, apart from the PA with no foldback, Tim losing his voice (it was his turn), the average age of the audience being "higher than expected" and it being swelteringly hot, it all went rather well ....

And yes, that is a Bishop and an Archdeacon on the dance floor (but not together). If anyone has the photo of that, bribes are to be sent to ....

29th June 2006 - Back to St Mary's Ferndown

Church Party to say Goodbye to the Youth Worker

Anyone who books DWC twice needs serious prayer ministry - but St Mary's did, and this time, we rocked ... and rocked ... and rocked. It was a case of "We'll keep playing til you stop dancing" But they didn't. So we stopped playing. Same time, next year? But nobody took any photos!
