Doggie Downloads

The Beatles managed to record their first album in about three quarters of an hour or something, but the Dogs managed a reasonably good 5 hours to record all of the tracks you can find here on the Doggie Download page. We were incredibly grateful to Chris and Kate who plugged things in and twiddled knobs at the Purple Squares studio, in the basement of St John's Church in Shirley, Southampton. Fuelled by coke (diet), pasties and other assorted goodies, the tracks were recorded "live" with the vocals being the only overdubs. Enjoy!

Recorded November 2010 at Purple Squares

"Stand By Me" Where Geoff is at his gravelly best ...
"Sylvia" Where the Focus classic from the 70s gets the Doggie treatment ...
"Midnight Hour" Where Graham has some fun in the "free" jazz bit ...
"Another Brick In The Wall" Where Tim plays the solo he never thought he'd get right...
"Roll Over Beethoven/Johnny B Good" Where it all gets a bit out of hand ...
"Nights In White Satin" Where Laurie goes all mean and moody with the vocals one...
"All The Young Dudes" Where the Dogs go Glam with Tim hitting the high, but not necessarily the right, notes ...
"Angels" Where Clive's shaker makes an appearance ...
"Day Dream Believer/I'm A Believer" Where the Monkees meet the Dogs ...
"Dont Stop" Where thankfully they finally do ...

Recorded March 2008 at The Blandford School

"When Love Comes To Town" The Dogs take on the U2/BB King song from "Rattle and Hum" ...
