BFPC Christingle Service 2008

Sunday 7th December at 4.00pm

BFPC is holding a Christingle Service in aid of the work of the Children’s Society at 4pm on Sunday 7th December at the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul in Blandford Forum. Organised by the local committee dedicated to raising money for the Society, it is aimed at all ages and uses the symbol of a Christingle, an orange decorated with fruit and topped with a candle, to remind people of the message of Christmas. Everyone who attends is offered a Christingle and the service will include traditional carols and readings as well as prayers for the work of the Society.

The Christingle is a powerful symbol of the message of Christmas and many people may have heard of a Christingle Service - and wonder what it is about! This is a simple service with a deep message ... come and discover it, and help the work of the Children’s Society at the same time!
