"Venue"

"Venue" is is an evening where we come together (hence the name!)to worship God in an informal and intimate way ... over the past year, the Holy Spirit has been very active in the life of BFPC and we have seen a number of results: lives changed, a new desire for Prayer, but also upheaval in the challenges this has presented to our personal agendas. This has been a time of occasionally painful growth, though not necessarily in numbers, but we believe God has some exciting things in store for us as a result of it.

We have also became aware of the need for us to seek him in worship: just as we started the 9.00/10.30 services a few years back in order to allow the opportunity for us to worship God in more informal ways, I now feel that we need an opportunity for something more extended, intimate and flexible than the 10.30am service currently allows - and Venue is, I believe, the answer to this. As to what Venue actually is, every month we are made more aware that we are some way away from the "finished" article, but to strive to go deeper each month, exploring what God wants for us.

The aim is to spend time in worship, a time sharing what God has been doing for us (please come ready to do that) and time praying about what God wants for us as a Church. This is key is allowing God to challenge our agendas and recognise that we need to "take up our Cross" and sacrifice our agendas on it, so that His agenda is everything. That is what we shall be seeking at Venue - please come if you can!
