2009 Christingle Service

A Christingle Service in aid of the work of the Children's Society will be held at 4pm on Sunday 29th November at the Parish Church of St Peter and St Paul in Blandford Forum.

The service, organised in conjunction with the local committee of the Children's Society, is aimed at all ages and uses the symbol of a Christingle, an orange decorated with fruit and topped with a candle, to remind people of the message of Christmas. Everyone who attends is offered a Christingle and the service will include traditional carols and readings as well as prayers for the work of the Society.

The Rector of Blandford Forum and Langton Long, Rev Tim Storey said "The Christingle service is a wonderful way to begin Advent and set the scene for Christmas as well as a way of supporting the work of the Children's Society. "
