The Parish of St Peter and St Paul in Blandford Forum will be holding a "Snowdrop Memorial Service" in connection with the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust at 2.30pm on Tuesday 7th February.
This annual occasion offers an opportunity for those who have lost a loved one to cancer to remember their loved one in a short memorial service. Weldmar Hospicecare offers relatives the opportunity to mark their loved ones memories by planting snowdrops in the walk at Kingston Lacy as well as recording their names in a book of remembrance which is kept at the church.
The service at St Peter and St Paul's Parish Church will be lead by the Rector, Rev Tim Storey and Rev Sally Bedborough, the Chaplain at the Weldmar Hospice, will also be involved in the service. The theme of the service will be that of "God's enduring love" from St Paul's words is Romans 8.
Rev Tim Storey, said "Mourning the loss of a loved one is often a lonely walk and we hope and pray that those who come to this service will find comfort and companionship on their journey in the knowledge of those who share their grief and pain, as well as to know the love of God in their situation."
