Bishop Graham to Speak At Remembrance Service13th November 2011 |

The Bishop of Sherborne, the Right Reverend Dr Graham Kings, is to speak at the Remembrance Day Service in Blandford Forum Parish Church at 3pm on Sunday 13th November. |
The Remembrance Day event begins in the Market Square with the laying of poppy wreaths outside of the Corn Exchange and a parade of Uniformed Organisations around the town, entering the Church for the start of the service. The service will include poems and readings, prayers lead by the Scouts and Guides as well as a presentation to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of the Royal British Legion. |

The address at the service will be given by the Bishop of Sherborne, the Right Reverend Dr Graham Kings, who had a Short Service Limited commission in the 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards as a Second Lieutenant in 1973, training at Sandhurst and Bovington. Dr Kings went on to serve in West Germany before being ordained. He became Bishop of Sherborne in 2009 and lives near Blandford at Iwerne Minster. |
